    hi, welcome to TSG.

Before you proceed with the removal directions below you need to turn off MS
Anti-Spyware's realtime protection as it will interfere with the changes we
    are trying to make.

Open MS Anti-Spyware and click on Options > Settings. Click on "Realtime
    Protection" in the left pane.

    Remove the check by these:

"Enable the Microsoft Security Agents on startup (recommended)"

"Enable real-time spyware threat protection (recommended)"

    Click "Save"

Now right click the MS Anti-spyware icon in your system tray and choose
    "Shutdown Microsoft Anti-Spyware"

You should re-enable these when we are finished here.

Download the Hoster from: http://members.aol.com/toadbee/hoster.zip. UnZip
the file and press "Restore Original Hosts" and press "OK". Exit Program.

    www.funkytoad.com/download/hoster.zip

    Dear Khazars

I thank you first very much for your perfect help !! I think I got rid of these two trojans.
However, Kaspersky scan and ActiveScan result in a lot of other treats. Shall I ignore them ?

here the logs you requested after your procedure that I followed strictly :
The Kasperrsky log I will post in the next post as otherwise my reply exceeds 30000 characters and will not be accepted. Also, you requested a vundofix.txt file, but this one does not exist ...
    sorry

    Hello Khazars

    Now I got a BIG Problem her , I think :(

    - I did what you instructed : I deleted the internet files and Cookies and the Norton
Quatantine folder (manual delete of all files in this folder).
The I restarted into Safe mode and was runing hijack this and used fix for the
    04- HKCU\..\Run ........ \shellexp.exe
Then I opened the killbox.exe and run it and deleted all files there one after another as you instructed. Then I rebooted to normal mode. Then, when I logged in in normal mode
there popped up a window: ´Window Installer` with the text : Prepairing to install...`
Then another window popped up : `Norton Antivirus ´ with the text : Norton Antivirus
does not support the repair feature, please uninstall and reinstall...`

Then I cancelled these popup windows. Then I ran Ad-Aware and it was showing :
`Loading definitions` .... and i was waiting and waitimng. Then I looked up the task
manager and it said for the Ad-aware process : not repsonding,

    I worry now !!!!

Please help me , what is going on now ? Did I delete something wrongly ?

    clean log.

go to add/remove and uninstall norton and then reinstall it! Try adaware again, if it is stll paying up then uninstall it and reinstall it!

you should now turn off system restore to flush out the bad restore points and
then re-enable it and make a new clean restore point.

How to turn off system restore

here's some free tools to keep you from getting infected in the future.

to stop reinfection get these two tools, spywareguard and spywareblaster
    from

    http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/downloads.html

get the hosts file from here.

    http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

    put it into :

    Windows XP = C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
    Windows 2K = C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
    Win 98\ME = C:\WINDOWS

ie-spyad.Puts over 5000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected

when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.

    https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/ehowes/www/resource.htm

    http://www.winpatrol.com/winpatrol.html

Use spybot's immunize button and use spywareblaster' enable
protection once you update it. you can put spybot's hosts file into
    your own and lock it.

I would also suggest switching to Mozilla's firefox browser, it's safer, has
a built in pop up blocker, blocks cookies and adds. Mozilla Thunderbird is also a good
    e-mail client.

    http://www.mozilla.org/

Another good and free browser is Opera!

Read here to see how to tighten your security:

A good overall guide for firewalls, anti-virus, and anti-trojans as well as
    regular spyware cleaners.

    Dear Khazars

Thanks for the reply. However, I already restored my system to before you instructed me the first time. I then did one more time what you instruced me.

Sorry to say, but the second instructions from you, led to the problems that I have explained in my message before : e.g. At start up time :Windows installer etc.

Then I implemented one more time your first instruction.

Now another problem : I also installed the Spywareguard and Spywareblaster. But there are error messages now like : Dr. Watson Debugger encountered .. problems ... and must be closed. Then I could not operate any kyes of the keyboard anymore.
That means, there must be a connection between these Dr. Watson and the Spywaresofterware.
I want to delete both now : Spywareblaster und Spywareguard. However, I do not know
how to remove these softwares: my control panel - remove and add programs doesnt work, No program is displayed, that is also strange.

Could you please tell me, how exactely to do, in order to delete these two spywareprodukte ande what can i do against Dr. Watson error ?

I attach my latest hijack this can and my Ewido san.

you'd be best to undo the system restore and not install spywareguard and see what happens!

    Post another log from there?

    Dear Khazars

    thanks,
I uninstalled the spywareguard and spywareblaster and now my symantec internet security and also my microsoftantispyware are automatically active again after reboot . Both were
inactivated once the both spywareguard - blaster were installed and active.
I believe my system cannot well work with these pywareguard and spywareblaster.
Now I got rid of ST3.dll and winstyle2.dll trojans and my scan with symantec and mircosoftantispyware is clean.
As I told you earlier , I restored my system as I experienced problems with popus
like windows installer after i performed operations you suggested the second time.
I guess, therefore my log is not really clean, i attach it here and i set already now under
the satisfying condition a restore point.
But seeing my log file, can you please carefully tell me what i really should do without any risk
    anymore ?

    Thanks !

i have never heard of spywareblaster causing probs but there is always a first!

Did you run ewido etc again to make sure you are clean? you have one left which may be the culprit in all this?

Also downlaod the tools from post 5 spybot and adaware!

have hijack this fix these entries. close all browsers and programmes before
    clicking FIX.

    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Explorer] G:\WINDOWS\system32\shellexp.exe en
O23 - Service: System Startup Service (SvcProc) - Unknown owner - G:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe (file missing)

Double-click on Killbox.exe to run it. Now put a tick by Delete on
Reboot. In the "Full Path of File to Delete" box, copy and paste each
of the following lines one at a time then click on the button that has
the red circle with the X in the middle after you enter each file.
It will ask for confimation to delete the file on next reboot. Click
Yes. It will then ask if you want to reboot now. Click No. Continue
with that same procedure until you have copied and pasted all of
these in the "Paste Full Path of File to Delete" box. Then click yes
to reboot after you entered the last one.

Note: It is possible that Killbox will tell you that one or more files do not
exist. If that happens, just continue on with all the files. Be sure you
    don't miss any.

    G:\WINDOWS\system32\shellexp.exe en

Run an online antivirus check from

    http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

choose extended database for the scan!

post another hijack this log, and the kaspersky logs

    post another log!
