    Hi,

Our company has the policy of discarding old PCs. I happened to pick one such PC last week. This PC has Windows NT installed on it, so after booting up it asks for user name, password and gives a list of domains to choose from. Since none of these are applicable as I am using the PC in standalone mode at home, I am not able to proceed. Is there a way I can use this machine, or do I need to install a new OS?

More than likely you will have to reinstall the operating system.
