Hey does anybody know if my system is good enough to handle the new SC2 coming out? Still a novice at PC Troubleshooting and I just needed to know if I have to upgrade my system in order to play this LONG-overdue game...

I have a Dell XPS M1530. Here are my specs:
My System Specifications:

OPERATING SYSTEM:WINDOWS 2.6.0.6000 ()

CPU TYPE:INTEL(R) CORE(TM)2 DUO CPU T5450 @ 1.66GHZ

CPU SPEED (GHZ):1.687

SYSTEM MEMORY (GB):1.998

GRAPHICS CARD MODEL:NVIDIA GEFORCE 8400M GS

GRAPHICS CARD DRIVER:NVD3DUM.

DLLDESKTOP RESOLUTION:1280X800

HARD DISK SIZE (GB):136.472

HARD DISK FREE SPACE (GB):64.746

And here is the "Beta" SC2 Specs:

PC Minimum Requirements

Connectivity : Broadband connection - Battle.net account required.

Hard Drive Space : 4 GB free hard space (Beta)

Operating System : Windows XP SP3/Vista SP1/Windows 7

Processor : 2.2 Ghz Pentium IV or equivalent AMD Athlon processor

RAM : 1 GB system RAM/1.5 GB for Vista and Windows 7

Video Card : 128 MB NVidia GeForce 6600 GT/ATI Radeon 9800 PRO video card

HOW DO I INCREASE MY CPU SPEED?! Am I doomed never to play my beloved game?!

Your CPU is fine. Pentum IV is a single core cpu which isn't as efficient as your current CPU. Your CPU meets the minimum requirements.

Starcraft 2 doesn't need a very advanced rig so you should be fine. If anything, Go here when the game is released to double check your specs.
