One of the features I rather like about Windows 7 is how it displays the recent files used for different programs. This works perfectly for all applications, except word. It used to work, but now, when I hover on the word short-cut in my start menu no recent files are displayed. Note: It does work for all other applications including excel and access. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Which version of Microsoft Office are you using?
    2003 or 2007 or 2010?

Registry Cleaners and PC Tune up programs are the main culprit for causing such problems.
It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED NOT TO USE THEM AT ANY COST

The use of any color other than black, can be very distracting.
Besides on different skins they may even be worse.
