    Hi All,

I am trying to lift the hood on windows and have been pokeing around with sysinternals autoruns & process explorer.

Is there any documentation you guys could reccomend to someone trying to understand what is going on under the hood ?

PS - the number of startup processes in the registery - WOW - no wonder my system takes so long to boot !

*DISCLAIMER* I know what I am doing is dangerous !. I am running XP in a caddied HDD, I have already cloned the drive and have checked the clone, I have been playing with Linux for years but now need to know more about Windows.
