Startup Error message

I have windows 98 and get this error everytime I boot up.

HELP!! it is driving me crazy!

I am not computer savvy and need specific instructions on how to fix it.

c:\>set blaster=A220 17 D1 H7 P330 T6
c:\>set sbpci=c:\sbpci
c:\>rem [header]

Hi Susan and welcome to TSG. I've split your "piggybacked" post off to its own thread. Always best to have your own.

First, what makes you think what you are seeing is an "error"?

Is the startup stopping on a message and requiring you to do something.

What you seem to be seeing is just the display telling you what Windows is doing when it is starting. In this case it is loading the autoexec.bat file and those are the commands being executed.

If you don't want to see it, go to start, run sysedit and make this line the very FIRST entry in autoexec.bat:

@ECHO OFF

Then close the file and accept the changes.
