    Hi Everyone,
OS: XP home. When I start up my computer I get this message:

    'Error loading C:/program files/wildtangent/apps/cda/cdaengine0400.dll
the specific module could not be found.'

I've run ad-aware and spybot...no luck. Any advice? Thanks.

First off, you need to create a new folder for Hijack This, instead of running it from the desktop.

2nd, you are cutting off the top, please be careful as you cut and paste. Post a new log after you have moved it.

I did the clean start. The problem is in my startup items and did not go away when I returned from the clean boot state. Thanks.

Since you have bearshare, I am assuming you have scanned for viruses?

You are going to have to be a bit patient here as there are loads of new problems right now without fixes.

I have NAV and scan frequently. But I didn't know that I had bear share... I remember downloading (and then removing) it sometime last year. It's not on my programs list any more

I don't mind the wait. I appreciate all the help. How will I know when all the fixes are released?

Also, should I wait until these problems are resolved before I install sp2?

    Hi Ghaleon,

Fix these for right now, there will be more later!

Close all applications and browser windows before you click "fix checked".

You need to go to control panel, add/remove programs and remove these:
BearShare, weatherbug, P2P Networking, ebates and isearch toolbar and any other tool bars that show up there!

    Download Spybot http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html

Click on "Search For updates" when prompted.

    Scan, click on fix problems.

    Reboot.

    Download AdAware SE Personal: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/

Install the program and launch it.

On the bottom right-hand corner of the main window click on Check for updates now then click Connect and download the latest reference files.

In the main window: Click Start and under Select a scan Mode tick Perform full system scan.

Deselect Search for negligible risk entries.

To start the scan, click the Next button.

When the scan is finished mark everything for removal and get rid of it. (Right-click the window and choose select all from the drop down menu and then click Next)

    Restart in safe mode

Open Windows Explorer. Go to Tools, Folder Options and click on the View tab. Make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked. Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files". Now click "Apply to all folders" Click "Apply" then "OK".

    Empty this folder: C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\CHRIS~1.GHA\LOCAL SETTINGS\TEMP

    Reboot and post another log.
