Theres a program called "Internet 404" in one of our NT servers at work. Obviosly just doing a search for this in Google brings up a million results about 404 errors. Not what I want. I just removed a bunch of Gator garbage from it. I was wondering if this is more spyware??? Thanks

    No idea.

A Startuplist log would certainly help.

You do have some dubious ActiveX objects and some Huntbar Browser plugins which are also spyware.

    Please do this:

Go to http://www.spywareinfo.com/downloads.php#det , and download 'Hijack This!'.
Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log somewhere, and please show us its contents.

Hijack This not only reveals these items, it can also remove them for you quite easily.

Not really. There's nothing on the list referencing it

Is it written exactly like that? Internet 404 ?

There's nothing to be found on a program with that particular name. I don't think it exists.

    I believe you! :D

Have you tried finding its folder in Program Files and having a look what's in it?

Rightclick the executable (exefile) and choose "properties", anything there to enlighten us?

Mind you, if it has an uninstaller it can't in all probability be all bad...

I looked, couldn't find a folder for it.

So did Gator, Precision time and date manager. It's just really weird to see something like that in a startup list. It's like it's something that would throw people off so they would ignore it.

Searched for *404 and got nothing searched for internet and got....well about a million results I wasn't going to wade through. It's not real important. Everything is working fine, was just curious if anyone knew what that file was for. Thanks for the help.
