    Hiya peeps,

I upgraded my pc to windows 2000, a few ago. Its working fine, but it seems to take ages to load up, compared to windows 98.

I was thinking it might be something on my startup list slowing things down, so I've copied my startup list.
Can anyone tell me what programmes can safely disable on my startup list please.

Aside from the above - what are your systems specs? Did you do an upgrade or a clean install?

A clean install would give you the best result.

You may also want to check out the services running in w2k backgroung. M,any of theses aren't nessecary for most users so you can decifer for yourself from here . Your services are listed in control panel/administrative tools/ services
