    hey gurus,

I am trying to get someone with a 'Computer Hangs in Word' friend to send me a list of what she has running in her start up list. Using IM is a little frustrating because she is not computer literate. Any easy ideas?

hi there anglin..........what version of windows is she using?different o/s`s have different ways of doing this.
try going to start/run,type "msinfo32"(without quotes) then "software environment"/"startup programs" this will give her a list of everything in there.
    hope this helps.....good luck.:)

Of course, thats the nice easy way. If you want to be real nice then be sure to offer the start>run>msconfig>start tab and tell them if the first doesnt work then they will just have to copy it all down by hand from there. :)
