Ok, I can not figure out why or what happened. That is why I come here. After a recent Windows update shortly after I now get this message.
"Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings, and then click [Next]
3. Click [Repair your computer]
If you do not have this disk, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.

I can start up the computer but it hangs at Windows loading page after I sign in with my password. I go into safe mode but can't connect on the internet because it can't find any devices as stated on my connection manager. Can't do system restore as there is no restore point in safe mode. And can't do it in regular mode because it hangs. Spent several hours of saving docs & pics on my flash drive because if I save to many at one time it freezes. Only way to shut down is to push the on/off button.
I'm at a loss of what to do but if my h/d corrupted again it will be the 2nd time w/i the year.
Any help would be much appreciated. Phantom010, you were a great help several months ago with another issue I was having. Hope you still out there.
