First of all, you can disable that XP feature:

To disabling the “restart on system failure” feature may permit the exact cause to be isolated: Right-click on My Computer, click Properties, click the Advanced tab. Under “Startup & Recovery,” click Settings. Under “System Failure,” uncheck the box in front of “Automatically restart.”

Now you can study the BLUE SCREEN of death more throughly...

How recent was this error? Have you installed any new software? Have you tried rebooting in safe mode and doing a system restore?

    Thanks for the help

I was having this problem so I created a new partition and formatted the drive and reinstalled windows xp and nortons only and still had this problem. I have changed the video card and still the same. I have unchecked the restart on failure and when it happens again I will post a new messege. Thanks once again
