Hi guys,

Recently been experiencing a strange issue with my Dell L502x, happens generally if i'm playing a game or something, but in the past it has happened just whilst listening to music etc. This never ever happened on Windows 7. It's the 6gb Ram, nividia 540gt 2gb, with an i7 sandybridge 2.00ghz model. What basically happens is my laptop becomes completely unresponsive, blurs multi coloured lines, and sometimes will then move to blue screen of death, other times it remains unresponsive and I have to hold the power button down. I then have to give it about 5 mins, or it will just beep at me and not turn on. I've attached a picture of it. I've ran every single diagnostic I personally can think of, strange thing is it has only happened since I upgraded to Windows 8, and since I updated the Bios it only has happened when playing Games, basically when it is working hard. If anyone has any idea i'd really appreciate it, the machine is less than 2 years old, and the entire inside contents were replaced, minus the hard drive and Ram less than a year ago.

Video drivers don't seem to be the problem, tried and checked that several times. That being said the dump seems to be referring to Direct X?

But that's the thing, it doesn't always go to Blue Screen, in the screen shot I posted, which happened last night, it just stayed on that. Yeah using it on a hard service.

Also I ran memtest86 and got no problems. So should I def go ahead and try driver verifier or is something else the problem? Really confused to what is going on, been working with computers for 6 years and never encountered anything like this.

Cheers

Verifier is telling me there are no unsigned drivers and there are no drivers built for older versions of windows??
