Hi guys,
I have a fairly quick PC, E5300 2.6 dual core, 4 gig of ram, gigabyte motherboard, 500gb sata. Have clean installed Windows 7 RC on the machine. Have noticed a slow start up time of Windows7 for some reason. I have carried out 2 installs for windows 7 rc, the first was an upgrade from xp and the current install is the clean one.
Now, when the 'starting windows' prompt appears there seems to be a delay of around a minute where there is not activity at all. And then the logos will start to animate and windows 7 will load. Once loaded I dont experience any freeze, etc. Now this was not happening on windows XP or my previous install of windows 7.
The only thing I have changed in BIOS is 'usb keyboard support' in DOS.
ANy ideas of this delay ? Thanks
