    Hi,
I'm getting files called,, recovered files, showing up in the trash
at random. They are small gif flies and seem to be unimportant
to the functioning of the system. I delete them, but they keep showing up.

    What gives?

I had this problem too. You need to set up your trash can so that it deletes all files permanently. I'd have to look up the exact way to do it, but it's a setting you can change by pulling up the System Preferences menu. I'll play around with it, and post the exact steps if you need them.

    Hope that helps!!:)

Ok, I was wrong, I guess you do it through the finder....anyway, that should get rid of your problem. It got rid of mine.
