Strange Pop Up Window on Shutdown !!!

    Windows XP Pro - shut down or reboot I am presented with a small window ... Sapiserver Reciever (yes the I before the E) - have to click end now or wait :confused:

    Wots this :eek:

    hmmm....interesting. A Google search of "Sapiserver Reciever" failed to find anything.

    But, entering "Sapiserver Receiver" (note the correct ei) found.....Sapiserver lockup

    "Sapiserver is the speech-recognition part of Office XP and while it supports US English only, appears to have been installed on your PC."

    If this pertains to what you have then there are also removal instructions in that link.

    Thanks guys - alas nothing ever runs smooth :D got to the final stage - yuk no "next" button - only back, update and cancel :eek:

    Office - never use it - never will - can I not just uninstall and say goodbye to Sapiserver that way ? ;)

    office - is word/excel and also includes outlook -
    your sure you never use?
