My sister's computer runs fine on the internet, except for one website. When she gets to that one--she logs in and her computer logs her out. If she is lucky and can stay on, her computer moves slower than a turtle running thru peanut butter! She has a new system installed--Windows XP--it's only about 5 weeks old. We have done all the easy things--cleaned out the Temporary Internet Files, the Temp files, Defragged, ScanDisked, increased the "Cookie" bin, etc. Still nothing changes! Any suggestions? PLEASE?

Enable the WinXP Internet Connection Firewall ASAP then run a on-line virus scan at http://housecall.trendmicro.com

You can use this following explanation to make sure ICF is enabled and if it's not to enable it. If it's not enabled the box will Not be checked, if it is it will be.

To configure Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) manually for a connection:

1. Click the Start button

2. Control Panel

3. Double-click Networking and Internet Connections

4. Then click Network Connections

5. Right-click the connection icon for which you would like to enable ICF

6. Then click Properties.

7. On the Advanced tab, (click the box) to select the option to Protect my computer or network.

8. Click Ok

9. Click Ok.

No McAffee isn't used on this computer. I think the name is Norton.

We will try the instructions you have listed. She has a new baby and is having a problem with sleeping at the "normal" times right now. I will get back to you as soon as we try it.

Thank you for your time and effort. It is very sweet of you to care!
