I have a user on my network who has been using ASCII chars on her machine for the last two years using ALT and the corresponding codes on the numeric keypad without a problem. Yet for some reason this morning she is unable to use them anymore. The only program that accepts the input is Excel in the Office 2000 Suite.

Tried narrowing it down as best I can. Swapped in another keyboard: same issue. Tried using the codes at a command prompt, in other office programs and third party software with same result. Only program that accepts ASCII chars is Excel. I'm stumped!
