When I startup my computer I get an error message that says it cannot find a DLL file and then it freezes. If I try to start in safe mode and get to a DOS prompt and change to C:\ the C: drive listed is not my primary hard drive but my secondary hard drive. It appears to be skipping my primary harddrive. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I might do to fix this.

I'm kind miss the point of your post..are you saying that the drive/partition with you O.S is showing up as drive D or E or whatever (NOT C)??? If so when you go to c: in Dos and do a 'dir /p' what; if anything is listen on C:...Also what OS are we talking about here??
