    YES,

What are the audio inputs on the audio system
you could use the lineout on the PC (if a desktop ) or headphones (if a laptop)
and connect to the audio system

    OR
are you looking for a wireless solution

some make and models would help

    I would like wireless connection.
Have a Yamaha receiver with all the normal inputs and a Sony Blueray player that I use to stream video.
A Belkin Router for the wifi. Desktop is HP and also a Chromebook
I suppose I could place my laptop in the area but not too convenient
Thank you for trying to help

I guess the easiest way would be to run a cable from your computer's stereo audio jack to the receiver. There are also wireless devices that can that that too but more costly.

You could also get an an Internet Radio device and connect that to you receiver.

Newer receivers can have network compatibility for streaming from PC's or the directly from the internet.

Thank you all. I will investigate the wifi options since a cable will not work

You could use a bluetooth receiver on the stereo, and if your laptop doesn't have built-in bluetooth, use a bluetooth adapter. Transmission will be limited to about 30' but it will be wireless.
