I know it is an old game but I have had it running perfectly the first time I installed it on my new computer. I had issues with this game on a previous computer -I thought i did not have enough power but I have since upgraded

I tried computability mode in my windows 7 but I do not get a solution. Windows 7 is suppose to send a solution after it crashes right before the game loads to start a mission!

I seems to be an issue with windows 7 and not the game software???

    Please help!

    Try this:
There are a lot of old games that aren't compatible with Vista. One of them is Stronghold 2. Many have to tell Vista to run those programs as if it were an earlier Windows.

This is what you need to do:

Before you click the play button, right click on the game icon,
    click on properties,
    click on the compatibility tab,
put a check mark in "run this program in compatibility for",
then windows XP service pack 2 from the drop down menu.
Click apply, then ok and you are finished.

You may need to manually download the newest patch. After that, I hope it works!
