Just before my computer got unplugged (Internet wise), I had been unaware of a virus that must've been sleeping in my system. Recently, I discovered that this specific process, csrss.exe had been getting its grubby little fingers into literally all processes in my Win. XP SP2 system. (Specs of my computer's in my profile somewhere.) and recently, I had to reinstall Avast! Professional Antivirus...and have no way of updating it. (The virus database is two years out of date.)

I checked csrss.exe at this website link...

    http://www.neuber.com/taskmanager/process/csrss.exe.html

    And here...

    http://www.auditmypc.com/process/csrss.asp

So my suspicions had been correct when I tried to kill the doggone process...(It instantly shutted down the PC the moment I killed it.) And it's been literally forcing the computer to go 100% all the time too.

I first figured it out when I began playing WMP... and it popped up now when I have no way to kill it now.

Any ideas on how I can kill the blasted thing, with the Library computers' help and some ingenious thoughts?
