I have a toshiba laptop which for several weeks been continuosly rebooting itself. On the screen it says configuring windows upate 3 of 3, 0% completed. It then restarts.I have tried all the options when using the 0 key at startup to restore, or use safe mode etc, none work. It keeps returning to the same screen. I wondered about using command prompt to do a factory reset. My administrator account is disabled. I do not have a recovery disc. Any help gratefully received

What's the model name and complete model number of that Toshiba laptop?

Note: The complete model number will be 2 sets of characters separated by a dash.

Do you live in the U.S.A.?

    Toshiba Satellite A200-1YO (PSAE3E-04U00NEN)

It came with Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit.

Contact Toshiba and see if it still has a factory restore disk kit for it.
