Hi

I hope someone can help me with this. i have a socket 775 quad core machine. 4gig ram 1tb hard drive 2.33ghz.
i have always had windows 7 on my computer. however i notice in the past year if my computer had been on for long periods of time and i tried booting it up after 10 minutes it would get stuck on the loading windows screen. i always thought maybe it was over heated. i recently cleaned my computer removing all components. the machine looks like new. however i tried installing windows 10. the installation was successful but upon restarting the machine again on the loading screen it froze. i now believe this is not a software issue but a hardware one. can anyone give me tips or advise me on what i should to. thanks

Usually the sign of a hardware fault. For example, a faulty HDD will cause Windows to hang as it waits for the HDD to respond.

Disconnect/remove all unnecessary hardware/devices. You could also try booting into Safe Mode (assuming Win10 still has that option).
