    Hey guys

I have no idea why my computer seems to be so damn slow and make so much noise. The fan is constantly going at it and everything has an annoying delay. Even my cable internet is super slow to the point of having to wait several minutes to watch a 5min youtube clip. I have a Sony Vaio laptop with a core i5 processor and I purchased it around September 2010, making it rather recent. I downloaded hijackthis and ran the scan, however I am not sure how to copy/paste the info to present here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Insure that all air vents are free of dust.

1- Please click HERE to download HijackThis.
    2- Run the program.
3- Click on the Main Menu button if not already there.
4- Select Do a system scan and save a logfile.
5- Copy and paste the scan log from Notepad into your next reply.
6- Do not "Fix" anything unless advised to do so.

    For Windows 7 and Vista:

If Windows is denying access to the Hosts file, run HijackThis as Administrator or disable the UAC first.

In addition to those problems, the computer recently has an issue with installing updates on random things like adobe reader and apple itunes. The updating process begins only to crash eventually.

Same nonsense as with regular mode. I am currently in safe mode with networking and the fan is going crazy like always but the computer is not as laggy as before. In addition to the above-mentioned issues, I always fight that I need to "force shutdown" because there are programs that do not turn off when I am trying to shut down, however the list of "programs" is blank for that.

Did you insure that all air vents are free of dust?

Clean the power supply fan and the CPU fan.

If no luck, you might have a faulty power supply.

In any case, your computer might be overheating.
