I saw that there was a post on this and it was closed so here it is again. Superfetch will not start. Says can't find file. One member had an answer about an IO program causing a hiding of a file so that was the reason. I would like to know what that IO program was so I can delete it and see if it works for me. Thanks

Yes, i had the same problem (I have reinstalled windows a few time recently (new harddrive), the same problem arises (must be a conflict with the software I use) ! I solved this today! Download and install TweakPrefetch form Major Geeks!
Install and run the program! Click-->Clear Prefetch--> switch prefetch to Disabled-->leave Superfetch on Applications and Boot-->Click Apply-->Restart Computer-->hey presto Your Superfetch is fixed!
Did tha but cannot switch prefetch to disabled, it is faded..
