    How can you tell if your emloyer is tracking your your internet habits and what can you do to cover your tacks?

    Although you might be able to tell if a specific program was being used directly on your PC, the short answer is that you can't tell. There are far too many methods of intercepting communications over a network or on an individual PC to ever know what's being captured. Some (common in business) network protocols in an NT/Win2000 environment even allow remote viewing of your computer screen and direct control of your PC.

    Here is some interesting reading, but the bottom line is that private corporations can do pretty much whatever they like.
