svchost.exe using up all cpu

    Have the same... svchost.exe is taking up a considerable part of my memory and probably making mu PC slower. I actually got 5 svchost.exe on my task manager running regularly.. is this normal? any help is welcomed

    Javier I've split your post off from the others; please do not "piggyback".

    Start by going to Add/Remove programs and removing "new.net" and rebooting. Then post a HijackThis Scanlog using the version 1.98.2 available here:

    The number of svchost.exe entries is not an issue. Just how much memory is being consumed though? And what is the percent cpu usage? Ignore system idle process.
