The Windows XP Task manager shows that there is a svchost Network Service running, however I do not know to what that applies to.

At times it actually stops me from surfing the net and when I end task it I have no probs surfing.

Can anyone elighten me as to which program I may be running OR how to stop it in the services area.

I cannot seem to find it under the services management.

Thanks in advance to whomever takes the time to assist me.

Hi ,
Are you on a network? If not I would suspect spyware. Is this listed under processes or applications tab on task manager?

Thanks Bob...

It's listed under processes....Not on a network... Checked for spyware but it's all clear.

Hi,
I would do the HJT as MFDnSC suggested . I don't know what spyware you used but anymore it sometimes takes several of the tools and individual file deletes to get it all. HJT will show what is necessary to remove and MFDnSC will look it over and advise you .
