If I start IE, or open a new tab in IE, start.sweetpacks.com shows up. For now FireFox seems to be operating OK.

Press the Windows key + R to open a Run box.

    Type regedit

    Press Enter.

    Browse to:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

In the right pane, double-click Start Page and delete http://start.sweetpacks.com/?src=10&st=12&crg=3.5000006.10042&barid={4A37F94A-94CB-11E2-8319-001F16E2D39B}.

    Next, go to:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

In the right pane, double-click Start Page and delete http://start.sweetpacks.com/?src=10&st=12&crg=3.5000006.10042&barid={4A37F94A-94CB-11E2-8319-001F16E2D39B}.

Exit the Registry Editor and try Internet Explorer again.

Having a hard time finding, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main. If I type that into the Run window that opens after I hit enter & then click Browse it opens a window to System 32, I can't find the HKEY....Main there, is there something else I can do to locate this file?

You have to type REGEDIT into the run box first to access the registry editor. From there, you have to browse to the keys.
