Switching from XP Home to XP Pro isn't going to solve whatever problem you're having with the DVD drive.

You didn't say what problem you're having with it.

They can go bad after awhile and need replacing.

Yes, I know, switching the software would be my last option. I wrote a full question yesterday, nobody answered, so I know that my hardware is working fine, because it does respond my command as far as know, its a communication between the software and DVD drive. PX.dll. I hope you can take a look at the question I placed yesterday, and I would appreciate if you can help in this matter.
Thanks for your time and your reply

I read your other thread.

Installing and buying and using Perfect Optimizer was a bad move. Those type of programs are a rip-off and can cause even more damage by removing or changing crucial registry entries. Stay away from them, no matter what they claim they can do.

They may be some sort of conflict with whatever software you're using with that DVD drive.

Here is some reading about PX.DLL errors:

Ignore any advice about using a registry cleaner.

Thank you so much, I was trying to get in touch with that company, nobody answered my e-mails, so I just applied for a refund, I have to wait up to 2 business day for their reply.

You're welcome. :)

Don't hold your breath getting a refund. If you paid for it via credit card, contact your credit card company and advise them to decline to pay it - if they will.

I already did... Before they block the payment they asked me to call them, so I did, they will be back on Monday (surprise). But also I visited the bank who I paid through my cc. I will see.
I really do appreciate your help.
