Hope this is the right place. I am having serious problems with my acer aspire running xp sp2. I cant even access windows updates or explorer help files. I have windows files everywhere including my documents, program files etc with empty folders in one place and those same folders sitting somewhere else in another location. I had stubborn spyware etc which I managed to remove but obviously not in time. I have used pccillin, pconpoint, spyhunter, spyware doctor, noadware, msanti spyware, adwarealert, adaware, clean my pc, and also had avg but that was removed by the infection in my system along with incredimailand firefox. The more I try to fix things the worse it gets. Also as it is an acer computer, the 4 recovery disks are different to everyone else I know. How can I get things back to normal please in a step by step way? I dont know how to enter bios or anything which is what I have read as the starting point of advice given to others. Is there a tool which will sort out all my files and folders?
