Hi,
I recently had to re-install Windows 98se to my computer. It ran fine. That is until I loaded Norton Utilities (ver. 3.0). When it was loaded I went to reboot, and instead of Windows coming up (after the memory check), I got the BIOS menu screen! I looked through the BIOS, and everything looks okay to me. Upon exiting BIOS the system reboots and goes right back to the BIOS screen again.
HELP!!! Any suggestions?
thanks!

Welcome to the forum
Sound more like a stuck key than anything else. If you know which key takes you to the BIOS setup (Esc, Ctrl, F10 etc, etc) repeatidly tap the keys (fairly hard) or if you have a different keyboard try to swap it out with a good one

This is assuming you aren't getting any errors...are you??

Hey, it's funny you should mention that. I was just thinking that maybe the DEL button is "shorting out". I did clean the keyboard and maybe some windex seeped down there. I can't try out this theory right now since I'm at work and the computer is at home, but I will try it out first thing when I get home. It's good to know someone else thinks like I do. BTW, there were no error messages.
THANK YOU!!!
