I have recently installed a new hard drive and want it to be my system disk. How do I make this happen (i.e Drive D is my current system disk and I want to make the new Drive E my system disk). Many thanks, CT

    Hi there,

This is actually a fairly simple thing to do. First, you would need to get an imaging program such as Norton Ghost. Then boot into a PE (Preinstallation Environment) such as BartPE or WinPE, or even the Vista setup disk will work, and load Ghost, or whichever program you chose. Copy the D drive to the E drive. Reboot. You will likely have to do a repair install to reconfigure the bootloader for Windows, but after that, you can wipe the old system disk D and use it for your pleasure.

    Hope this helps.
