You'll need to get the drivers form the manufacturer, or you could try going to the site of the manufacturer of each individual part and check there.

    What exactly is the problem?

Well the most importaint thing to establish is my internet connection, from there i can just use the automatic driver update butons for the rest of the hardware on my computer. I just need some guidence in knowing what drivers to get for what hardware that will get my internet connection going.
I was thinkin of getting drivers for the motherboard, ethernet port and ethernet adapter. Will this establish my connection, or am i missing someting?

I'll look around on that site, but there is no magic bullet. You need to get the drivers from the manufacturers, if they are available. The first should be the chipset driver, and then you can install your network card.

Save the drivers if you ever find them again. You can save them from an installed system with:

    WinDriversBackup (TSG Links)
    DriverBackup! 2
    DriverMax
    Driver Magician Lite (mirror)
    Driver Collector
    Double Driver

    Run this program:

    PCWizard[IMG]

We need to know the exact make and model of every component that needs a driver, and all numbers you can find about the make and model of your system, too.

What drivers did you download from that site? What numbers did you use (If you don't want to post the serial on the forum, send it to me, though it probably doesn't matter if the world knows it)?

kk well the seriel is\: 11143010030648. I tried out the Rhine Network Driver, Intell driver, and the BIAS driver, (in that order).
would u like me to post all the info (make/model no.) of my computers chipsets?

So how does Device manager look? Do the devices you installed work properly now according to Device Manager, or do they still have problems?

That serial gives all the drivers for your system. You need to install all of them, excpt the firmware updates and BIOS update. When 2 drivers are listed for the same device, use the newest version.

If you have any devices connected that did not come with the machine, then you need to get those separately.

I don't see any chipset driver there, and since you have an Intl board, you probably don't need any. The one from XP is fine.

But to get online, if you have a wired connection, you just need to install the network driver or modem driver, depending how you connect to the internet.

Automatic update will not install the drivers for you. That only downloads Microsoft default drivers, and your devices may not work properly or have all their features unless you use the manufacturer's drivers. But, they are better than nothing if they work. :D

The IDE Controller is your controller for your hard drive. That is not installed, either?

Is Network Adapters listed at all in Device Manager?

Try running the new hardware wizard in Control Panel.

Are there any devices in the Device Manager that are not installed now that have red or yellow warnings??

What Intel chipset does PCWiz say that you have on your main board?
