I have an ASUS A7V333 motherboard with an Athlon xp2000cpu
I downloaded the ASUS live update for my computer. It asked me to restart. I did. Now my computer tells me I have a system failed cpu test and I can't get into my bios.
I've tried to switch CPU's. It still won't let me boot.

asus is pretty vague on this error. Either reseat your cpu or call asus.

Check your manual, I think it would be wise to try and clear cmos to reset to defaults. If it boots you will have to enter bios and reset the options to the way you had them after clearing

If you did a BIOS flash you may have just fried your configuration. Once the BIOS is hosed you really can't fix it unless you can boot form a floppy anf flash it with the original.
