Every single day, my computer reboots itself at various times and I notice the following 3 simultaneous errors form the same source:

    Source: SideBySide
Description: Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC80.MFCLOC could not be found and Last Error was The referenced assembly is not installed on your system.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

Description: Resolve Partial Assembly failed for Microsoft.VC80.MFCLOC. Reference error message: The referenced assembly is not installed on your system.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

Description:Generate Activation Context failed for C:\Program Files\TechSmith\SnagIt 8\MFC80.DLL. Reference error message: The operation completed successfully.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

I have snagit installed on my system but have disbaled it from starting with msconfig so I suspect that to be the cause of the error. However, I don't want the snagit tray icon starting. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

It is doubtful that SnagIt is causing the reboots of your system, the error messages listed are harmless.

If you still would like to to keep it from starting to narrow down the cause, find your Startup folder and simply remove the SnagIt icon.

The other option is to start SnagIt, go to the Tools menu, then Program Preferences, then the Program Options tab. Uncheck "Run SnagIt when Windows starts".
