I have a gateway computer with windows 98se and recently had upgrades my hard drive to a 80 gig from a 20. Once I did this my screen resolution has been horrible. I went to my control settings and looked at my screen resolution but it now only has a 16 bit where as before i had 32 and higher. I am not a professional on computers but as a college student with a family I need a bigger resolution. What can I do to correct this because all I have been told to do has failed. I don't have the first disk for the restoration of the computer but have the second one that came with it. What can I do or should I do?

Sounds like drivers for display adapter need installed.Does it have a graphic card or is it integrated in motherboard? Go to device manager and look at display adapter and see what it says.
