I TRIED TO RESTORE MY COMPUTER TO AN EARLIER TIME (ABOUT 4 DAYS AGO). I THOUGHT IT WORKED BUT WHEN I TRIED TO LOG ON, A WINDOW POPPED UP READING "YOUR SYSTEM COULD NOT RESTORE" OR SOMETHING TO THAT EFFECT. IT DIDN'T SAY WHY, BUT MAYBE IT'S BECAUSE I GOT A TROJAN HORSE THE OTHER DAY. I THINK I GOT RID OF IT BUT I ALSO THINK IT DID SOME DAMAGE. THATS WHY I WANT TO RESTORE TO A DAY BEFORE I GOT IT. PLEASE HELP. P.S. I'M NOT REAL COMPUTER SAVY.

the best way to know for sure if u got rid of it would be to run another virus scan. I' d start there then if that doesn't work I'd back your data up somehow and redo my pc cause it sounds like your registry might have been effected somehow with the virus. But I am getting ahead of myself. Run the scan and if the virus is still there, go to your antivirus website and see if it has some sort of remover for that virus.

    Also, here's a MS article:

Troubleshooting System Restore in Windows XP

But be sure to run an online scan to make sure you're clean:

    Try

    Good luck,
