I have a fairly new reinstall of windows xp home. Recently, I noticed that when I clikd on the "system Restor" tab on "my computer" properties, I get a message stating "Run a DLL as an app" window. I have looked through Microsoft support for ever and can't find anything to address this event that works. Also sometimes I get a window that states an exception has occured at:
    C:\windows\system32|shelll32.dll, Control_Rundll
    C:\windows|system32\sysdm.cpl, system

I'm at a loss. Can you help.

Well, guess what? I found a fix. Don't know why I didn't try it before. I went to sr.inf and did an install and now systemrestore is working. I found the tip on this forum. Thanks for a great forum. There is a lot of info on here.
