Does running Defrag (Windows 7) modify or impact established Restore Points?

It may defrag the data with the rest of the drive, but it
wont actually change any of the data stored there.
If you run disk cleanup and select more options, there
is an option to delete all but the most recent restore point
if you want to do that to free up space before you defrag.

Your prompt response is most appreciated.

Do not need the space. A program ( Norton GoBack ) that I used on an old computer to protect information would not retain the stored data after a defrag. I was only concerned that I would loose the restore point and the corresponding data with within the new new system.

From your reply I understand that running defrag within the Windows 7 OS will not eliminate the restore point or its saved data.

    Thank you.
