System Restore Question

    If I run disk fragmenter and then go back to a restore point before that should I run disk fragmenter again:confused:

    In XP i'm guessing.
    Run defrag and observe the amount of red,white and blue at completion.

    Do the system restore you want.

    Go back to defrag and click on "analyze" at bottom left.

    Compare the before and after displays.

    If necessary, defrag again.

    No you shouldn't have to run Defragment again.
    Defragging moves the files around the disk drive (putting them all back together as windows just drops them here and there)(basically physically moving the files (hence the need of about 15% harddrive space needed to defrag)).
    SYSTEM RESTORE basically monitors only a core set of specified system and application file types (e.g. .exe, .dll etc)
