    Any ideas.
Was working fine a few weeks ago.
It still saves checkpoints etc but I want to restore to an earlier time cos I've got LAN problems.
It says it can't restore but goes through all the motions.

scan your HARD DRIVE with an ANTIVIRUS program.[if you havent done so already]

prefferably with NOD32-the best ANTIMALWARE program you can find.

google for NOD32 and download a trial version.

it has the highest chance of finding MALWARE.[viruses, worms etc.]

before installing a new ANTIVIRUS program, uninstall the current ANTIVIRUS program to avoid conflicts.[it can result in system freeze...slow down...etc]

what kind of ANTIVIRUS software do you have installed at the moment?

If you are running Norton it may be the problem.

NORTON ANTIVIRUS has a very poor detection rate.

    dont rely on it.

replace it with NOD32 or AVAST if you can.
