    Hi All,

I currently run on a Compaq Presario SR1950NX machine with Windows XP MCE 2005. It has 1024MB of RAM.

Now, I have 4 usernames and one guest account. I turned off the computer, then I turned it on awhile later and logged into my account. It took a really long time to stop loading everything. Probably about 3 minutes. It's never done this before. Maybe it is because I upgraded to AIM 6.0?

    Simon :)

You've run spyware removers, and have a real time virus scanner running?

The biggest performance killer is spyware. It's a little strange that it comes on all at once like that, but not impossible.

Run Adaware, Spybot S & D, and virus scan. See if that helps. If not, uninstall and reinstall AIM.

A quick thing you could do to see if AIM is the problem is to do a system restore to a checkpoint just before installation and see if that changes the performance.
