My system time randomly changes either to the year 2404 or 6004.

This problem occurred both pre and post installing SP2. Also still occurs after complete format and re-install.

Internet Time sync is active, but neither time.nist.gov or time.windows.com work if the year is incorrect.

I've checked running processes using Process Explorer, and it doesn't seem like there's anything out of the ordinary there.

    System:
    Intel P4, 2.6GHz
    Gigabyte GA-81PE1000 m/b
    1024MB DDR400 RAM
    Windows XP SP2

Unfortunately, this happened again today, despite having changed the mobo battery last weekend.

it only seems to happen when I leave my computer on for several hours. (this time it was on overnight)
