For some reason whenever there is a program that is supposed to have the system tray icon on the bottom right hand corner of the screen it doesn't always show up?? I have to close the process from the Windows Task Manager and restart it, otherwise I can't even get to that program because when i try to open it, it says it's already opened ,but it's not on the taskbar so I cant use it. Can anyone help me? I have windows XP Proffesional.

SP1 resolved many problems with tray icons. Do you have it installed?

    donnieb6680,

Would I be right in guessing that the icons load correctly on startup, however an event causes your start bar to disappear momentarily and then reappear, this time missing your systray icons?

    Best regards,

No, it loads during start-up is when I can't see them, then I close those programs and open them again and they're they. And concerning SP1 I can't install that for some reason. It says the windows key is invalid and I may have purchased a pirated windows XP.

You should investigate your "KEY Problem" first. This can be a pirated copy that does this kind of thing over time. When you get your key properly registered, post back and we will see if your problem persists.

If you think you may have purchased a pirated copy, more than likely you did. It's not too difficult to tell them apart ;) Look at your install cd. What does it say on the top?
