Hi wonder if anyone can help?
I bought a second hand Thompson 32 lcd tv last month and it was all working o.k till last week it switched itself off and back on again and has continued to do so since. When I bought it the guy told me that it had been in for repair and when I got it home there was a loud buzzing noise that seemed to change volume when the colour and resolution changed on the t.v. I took the back off ( after leaving it unplugged for 48 hours) and noticed that some of the compasitors on the SMPS board looked swollen and slightly burnt. Could this be the reason for the t.v to constantly reset itself since the SMPS board is the stanby board as well and if so would replacing it cure the problem?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks in advanced.
