I own an IBM T30 laptop, the headphone jack got damaged, the headphone jack still works if the headpnhone plug is inserted and held in a certain way.
I would like to know how to slide open the headphone, microphone plastic cover.
My goal is to replace the headphone jack if necessary, I have already removed one screw that clearly holds this plastic cover in place but this cover won't budge.
How simple is it to replace the headphone jack on this T30 ?

    Thank You !

Can you solder?.... That will be the only way to replace the jack I am afraid :( And I would suspect you will have to remove the entire base of the laptop to reach the audio ports, not just one screw.. it just gets worse.... If you really need to you would be best paying to have it repaired at a shop.
