Running very slow, when I look at the processes on the Task Manager there are loads of them even when I am not running the programs etc. Processes like ITunes helper.exe ,
ccsetmgr.exe , BTHelpnotifier.exe. IPodservice.exe. Does this mean these are running constantly? can I stop the process? what will happen when I want to use ITunes next if I stop the process. How can I find a list of processes I shouldnt stop? Really appreciate some help please.

    OK,

Most processes are important for 1 reason or another
A lot of them are part of Windows

IPodservice.exe controls transfering between your ipod and your computer
ITunes helper.exe helps itunes load faster and launches itunes when you plug in your ipod
If you have an ipod or use itune those 2 processes are important

BTHelpnotifier.exe is a part of BT Broadband Internet Service
ccsetmgr.exe is a part of Norton Antivirus or Norton Internet Security

Most of the processes you shouldn't stop but you can google the name of the process and usually some website will tell you what it does and if its important

But then next time you restart they'll all be back so it would be a big hassle

If your computer is slow then you might want to get more ram or get an ad-ware/spyware program if you don't already have 1

    Hope this helps,
    Ryan
