    Hi all,

I'm having this problem with my taskbar (aka Start menu). When i first bootup my windows xp, the taskbar is completely locked up and won't let me click anything on it, it's completely frozen. I know xp has this thing where it's still loading itself even after you have access to the system and only core system files can be accessed for the first couple minutes. But for some reason the taskbar just completely freezes for these first couple minutes. I reinstalled windows and it doesn't do this at first, but it seems to only start happening after I update to DirectX 9.0b.

Anyone know how to get around this problem?
